Ivana Jovčevska graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (analytical biochemistry), Ss Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, R. North Macedonia in the February 2011. She enrolled in the Interdisciplinary programme Biomedicine (biochemistry and molecular biology) at the Faculty of medicine UL the same academic year and was awarded PhD degree in February 2015. She is now a research associate at the MCMB IBK MF UL and currently holds habilitations for teaching assistant (pedagogical) and research associate (scientific).
During her BSc studies she received a scholarship for talented students from the Macedonian Ministry for education and science. During her PhD studies she received a scholarship from the Slovenian Public scholarships and research development fund. She was also awarded EMBO short term fellowships for research stay in two foreign laboratories, VUB in Brussels, Belgium and MDC in Berlin, Germany.
She is a member of the SBD and FEBS.
