In 1993 MCMB started collaboration with the Institute of Pathophysiology (IP) of the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana on molecular genetic analysis of acetylcholinesterase (AchE) gene and its expression in skeletal muscle.

Research translation:
During training and education of PhD students MCMB assisted in starting independent molecular biology laboratory at the Institute of Patophysiology of the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana where research on AchE genetic expression and its physiological impact continued under Prof. Grubič’s supervision.
