The symposium Taste of Genomics: the 70th anniversary of Prof. Dr. Radovan Komel (1st Day), organized together with the 13th CFGBC Scientific Symposium (2nd Day), took place from June 20th-21st 2018 at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Medicine, Slovenia. The Symposium was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Prof. Radovan Komel and his work at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Medicine, which coincides with the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Medical Centre for Molecular Biology. Internationally renowned experts, colleagues of Prof. Komel, and his former PhD students presented their past and present work.
On the second day of the Symposium, 13th anniversary of the Centre of Functional Genomics and Biochips – CFGBC followed, where researchers and members of CFGBC consortium presented recent work through lectures and posters featuring diverse taste of genomics. This year guest speaker was dr. Andreas Weinhӓusel, senior scientist at the Austrian Institute of Technology.
